On August 24, 2010, we found out we are expecting a little baby girl into our family. Her name is Allisha Karoline Quiring. We named her after 3 wonderful people: Allisha was Lindsay Babb's middle name, Karen was my mother's name, and Caroline was Jake's great grandmother's name. It is very special to us to be able to name our little girl after family. She will always know that she was named after 3 people who were kind, loving, strong, and beautiful women.
We should be hearing from the doctor today after she's had a chance to review the ultrasound pictures. From what I could tell, she looked perfect. We could actually see all of the development that she's made over the last 2 months. We could see her spine, arms and legs, fingers and toes, face and heart. It was pretty awesome. The ultrasound took about an hour because of all of the angles and measurements the technician had to take, and she wouldn't cooperate for a long time to get us a good profile shot. I actually had to go to my other doctor's appointment, eat something, and come back to see if she moved enough to get the shot. In the end, we got all of the pictures we needed, especially the most important one! She was being modest most of the time, but the tech said from what he could tell, it was definitely a girl. With as many times as I made him look for it, he said a boy would have shown himself by then!
